Chester is a multidisciplinary physician scientist with a lifetime of experience connecting technology to real-world clinical outcomes. Chester received his MD and PhD from the University of Chicago and has held positions at UCSD, Mass General Brigham Hospital and MIT where he was the Director for Translational Medicine at the Centre for Biomedical Innovation. Following his recruitment to the National University of Singapore, Dr. Drum has made fundamental contributions to the fields of nanomaterials, therapeutic biologicals, biomarker discovery and the use of distributed ledger technology in clinical care. As a Senior Consultant in the Division of Cardiology and an Associate Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Dr. Drum enjoys travelling the world to bring together diverse science, technologies and people to solve real-world clinical problems while still finding time at home to care for patients as an attending cardiologist."
